As a convention refugee who came to Canada from Afghanistan in 1998, I understand the struggles and challenges of starting a new life in a foreign country. Over the years, I have assisted many of my friends and family members with their immigration applications and witnessing them thrive in Canada has brought me immense joy. In 2019, I decided to turn my passion into a business and enrolled in the Immigration Consultant program at UBC. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, I incorporated my business in 2020 and have been able to continue assisting families and individuals with their immigration needs. Every day, when I am able to share positive news about a client's immigration or citizenship status, I am filled with gratitude and happiness. My own journey as a refugee has provided me with a unique perspective and understanding that allows me to provide compassionate and effective support to my clients.
